Elevating the Transit Sanctuary at Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol Lima Airport

A Strategic Gateway for Global Travelers

The Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol Lima Airport, which opened its doors in 2024, stands as a premier destination for international travelers seeking both luxury and seamless connectivity. Ideally situated directly inside the Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM), the hotel redefines effortless travel by connecting the airport terminal via a convenient walkway to its sophisticated front doors. With 249 high-tech guest rooms and suites, the property serves as a vital hub for business professionals and transit passengers alike. Beyond its role as a sanctuary for rest, the hotel provides direct access to 25 restaurants showcasing world-renowned Peruvian gastronomy and international cuisine. This strategic location ensures guests are minutes away from Lima’s historical landmarks, such as the Plaza de Armas, as well as the modern attractions of Miraflores.

Precision Engineering for High-Tech Guest Sanctuaries

The 2025 lighting project for this landmark property was designed to complement its high-tech amenities and soundproof architecture, enhancing the transition from the busy airport environment to a refined hospitality setting. In the guest rooms and suites, the lighting was engineered to support a flexible lifestyle through specialized bedside fixtures with adjustable, multi-jointed arms that provide focused illumination for reading or work. This sophisticated layout balances functional task illumination at workstations with warm, adjustable ambient light and indirect headboard "halo" lighting to help travelers recover from long flights. Furthermore, the lighting is seamlessly integrated into the room's digital ecosystem, allowing guests to manage their environment at the touch of a button.

Layered Illumination for Culinary and Transit Hubs

The hospitality areas, including the bar and onsite Peruvian restaurant, utilize a layered lighting approach to highlight the texture and artistry of handcrafted cocktails and traditional cuisine. Decorative pendant lights over the bar area create an intimate, sophisticated atmosphere that contrasts with the expansive airport views visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Throughout the corridors, recessed ceiling fixtures and modern, dual-directional wall sconces guide guests to their rooms with a rhythmic, warm glow that maintains the hotel’s prestigious and tranquil aesthetic. This intentional play of light and shadow ensures that the common areas feel like an extension of the luxury experience found within the private suites.

Versatile Lighting for Corporate and Social Events

The lighting strategy extends further into the hotel’s 202 square meters of flexible event space, which includes three elegant venues capable of hosting up to 200 conference guests. The versatility of these lighting systems allows for seamless transitions between professional business gatherings and high-end banquet events. By integrating energy-efficient and smart lighting controls throughout the property—from the 24/7 front desk to the wellness areas featuring an indoor pool and sauna—the Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol Lima Airport establishes itself as an ideal sanctuary within the heart of Peru’s primary international gateway.
